Designed for connecting low-voltage LED garden lights, architectural accent lighting, signage illumination and deck lighting in series configurations, the junction box provides four cable entry points with integral glands that maintain the IP68 seal when cables are passed through. The translucent blue housing allows visual inspection of terminal connections without opening the enclosure, while the grey base provides contrast to identify wiring routes during installation.

The 95mm square footprint and 30mm projection give a compact profile that fits in tight spaces behind external light fittings or within shallow recesses in garden walls. What does IP68 mean for this junction box?

IP68 is the highest ingress protection rating for electrical enclosures. The first digit (6) confirms the box is dust-tight with no ingress of solid particles. The second digit (8) confirms protection against continuous immersion in water beyond 1m depth. This means the junction box can be buried in soil, submerged in shallow ponds, or installed in locations with heavy rain and standing water without compromising the electrical connections inside.

Can this be used with mains-voltage lighting?

How many cables can be connected?

The junction box has four cable entry points with integral glands. Each entry accepts a single cable run, allowing a typical series configuration of one incoming supply and three outgoing branches to connected fittings.

Does the translucent blue housing affect the seal?

No. The translucent blue top is a functional design choice that allows visual inspection of the terminal block and wiring inside without opening the enclosure, which would break the IP68 seal. The polycarbonate material is UV-stable and does not degrade in sunlight.
