Description

The ESP Digivew HD+ is a 4MP CCTV system pairing a 4-channel DVR with two weatherproof bullet cameras and a pre-installed 2TB surveillance-grade hard drive. The DVR records at 4-megapixel resolution across all channels and supports continuous, scheduled or motion-triggered recording modes. Both bullet cameras carry IP66 ratings for outdoor installation and house fixed 3.6mm lenses offering approximately 75° horizontal field of view with infrared capability out to 25m in total darkness.

Designed for residential and small commercial properties requiring perimeter or driveway coverage, the system supports up to four cameras in total, with two additional channels available for expansion. The DVR connects to monitors via HDMI or VGA outputs, and remote viewing is accessible through the ESP HDview smartphone app or the included CMS software for PC. Video can be backed up to USB storage for evidence transfer. The system ships with all necessary cables and a 12V power supply that feeds both the DVR and cameras from a central point.

The grey bullet cameras are constructed from metal housings with vandal-resistant brackets that allow pan and tilt adjustment during installation. Each camera runs on 12V DC supplied from the DVR unit via standard coaxial cable, removing the need for separate mains power at each camera position. The DVR itself is passively cooled with no internal fans, running silently in indoor locations such as cupboards or utility rooms. The 2TB hard drive provides approximately 10-14 days of continuous recording from two cameras at 4MP, or longer when motion-triggered modes are used.

Frequently Asked

How many cameras can this system support?

The DVR is a 4-channel unit, meaning it supports up to four cameras in total. The kit ships with two bullet cameras pre-configured, leaving two channels available for adding additional cameras later. Additional ESP Digivew cameras compatible with this DVR are sold separately.

Can the system be viewed remotely?

Yes. Remote viewing is available via the ESP HDview smartphone app for iOS and Android, or through the included CMS software for Windows PCs. The DVR requires a wired internet connection via Ethernet cable, or can be connected using a PowerLine adapter where running cable is not practical.

How much footage does the 2TB hard drive hold?

Recording time depends on the number of cameras in use and the recording mode selected. With two cameras recording continuously at 4MP, the 2TB drive typically holds 10-14 days of footage. Motion-triggered recording extends this significantly, as the system only records when movement is detected.

Are the cameras suitable for outdoor installation?

Yes. Both bullet cameras carry IP66 weatherproof ratings, meaning they are protected against heavy rain and dust ingress. The cameras include infrared LEDs for night vision up to 25m and are designed for mounting on exterior walls, soffits or under eaves.
