Description

The Knightsbridge 50mm brush module is a cable management insert designed to fit Euro-module wall plates, allowing cables to pass through a wall or desk surface whilst sealing the aperture with bristles. The 50 x 50mm ABS frame holds black nylon brush fibres that part when cables are pushed through, then close around the cables to conceal the wall cavity or void behind.

Designed for AV installations where HDMI leads, aerial cables, speaker wires or charging cables need to run from a wall-mounted TV down to equipment on a shelf or in a cabinet below, the brush module creates a cleaner finish than an open cable port. The curved Knightsbridge design allows the module to sit flush with the wall plate without gaps at the edges. The grey finish matches standard grey Euro-module faceplates and blends with light-coloured walls.

The module carries an IP20 rating, meaning it provides basic protection against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but is not rated for moisture ingress. It is intended for dry indoor use only. The ABS construction is lightweight and clips into place without tools once the faceplate is mounted. Each module accepts multiple cables simultaneously — the brush fibres compress to accommodate bundles up to approximately 30mm diameter depending on cable flexibility.

Important: This brush module must NOT be used in the same faceplate as live power sockets or alongside other modules in a channel where mains voltage is present. The brush fibres do not provide electrical isolation and could allow accidental contact with hazardous voltage.

Frequently Asked

Can this be used alongside power sockets?

No. The brush module must not be installed in the same faceplate or back box as a live power socket. The brush fibres do not provide electrical isolation, so there is a risk of accidental contact with hazardous voltage if used near mains connections.

What size cables can pass through?

The 50mm aperture with brush fibres accommodates cable bundles up to approximately 30mm diameter. Individual cables such as HDMI, coaxial aerial leads, or USB-C charging cables pass through easily. Thicker bundles compress the bristles but will still fit if the cables are flexible.

Does it fit all Euro-module faceplates?

The module is designed to fit standard 50 x 50mm Euro-module apertures. It clips into Knightsbridge grid faceplates and most other brands using the same 50mm grid system, but compatibility with non-standard or older grid systems should be verified before ordering.

Is it suitable for outdoor use or bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the module is intended for dry indoor locations only. It does not provide moisture protection and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any outdoor application.
