Description

The ESP Beacon Assist Call 4 Zone Module Power Supply Unit is a brushed stainless steel wall-mounted control interface for four-zone assisted-living call systems. The unit provides centralised power distribution and zone management for connected Beacon call points, alert panels and communication devices across up to four separately designated zones within a care facility or assisted-living environment.

Designed for flush or surface mounting to a standard 2-gang back box (sold separately), the module integrates into existing electrical infrastructure without requiring dedicated enclosures or visible conduit runs. The brushed stainless steel faceplate measures 185mm wide by 125mm high and presents a clean, institutional-grade finish suitable for corridors, nursing stations and communal areas where durability and ease of cleaning matter. The two screw mounting holes visible in the image allow the faceplate to be fixed to the underlying back box.

The unit weighs 260g net and sits 85mm deep once installed, making it suitable for recessed installation in standard UK partition walls or surface mounting on masonry using a surface-mount 2-gang box. The brushed stainless finish resists fingerprints and scratches better than painted or polished alternatives, reducing maintenance in high-traffic areas. ESP positions this module as part of the Beacon Assist Call system range, which supports configurable zone layouts and alarm escalation protocols across residential care, sheltered housing and hospital ward environments.

Frequently Asked

What back box is required for installation?

The unit requires a standard UK 2-gang back box with a minimum 25mm depth for flush mounting. For surface mounting, use a 2-gang surface-mount box. Neither is included with the module.

How many zones does this module support?

The unit manages up to four separately designated zones within a Beacon Assist Call system. Each zone can be assigned to different areas or floors of a care facility, allowing independent alert routing and staff allocation.

Is the faceplate removable for maintenance?

Yes. The brushed stainless steel faceplate is fixed to the back box with two screws visible in the mounting holes. The faceplate can be removed for access to internal wiring and connections without disturbing the back box.

What other components are needed for a complete system?

A complete Beacon Assist Call installation requires call points (push buttons or pull cords) in resident rooms or bathrooms, zone indicator panels at nursing stations, and wiring to connect all devices. Refer to the Product Manual in the Downloads tab for full system configuration guidance.
