Description

The AV:Link 4K HDMI cable is a 10m HDMI 2.0 connection with a blue anodised aluminium shell on each connector, solid copper conductors rated at 28 AWG, and gold-plated contact pins. The cable supports 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) at 60Hz refresh rate, HDCP 2.2 content protection for UHD streaming services, Audio Return Channel (ARC), Ethernet over HDMI, and both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio pass-through.

Designed for long HDMI runs in home theatre installations, retail AV displays, meeting rooms and gaming setups where the source and display are separated by 8-10m or more, the cable uses a 7.2mm outer diameter jacket that balances flexibility with signal shielding. The blue aluminium shell adds EMI shielding around the connector termination and provides strain relief where the cable enters the plug body.

The solid copper core maintains signal integrity over the full 10m length, reducing the risk of sparkle, dropout or handshake failure that can occur with longer runs of lower-grade cable. The gold plating on the connector pins resists oxidation and corrosion over repeated plugging cycles. The cable weighs 520g and coils for storage without kinking the jacket.

Is this cable suitable for 4K HDR content?

Yes. The cable supports HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, which covers 4K UHD at 60Hz including HDR10 and Dolby Vision signals from streaming boxes, Blu-ray players and game consoles. Ensure both the source and display also support the HDR format you intend to use.

Does the 10m length affect signal quality?

At 10m the solid copper conductors and 28 AWG rating maintain full 4K 60Hz signal integrity without repeaters or boosters in most installations. Longer runs beyond 10-12m may benefit from an active HDMI cable or inline repeater depending on the source output strength.

What is ARC and do I need it?

Can the cable be bent or coiled for storage?
