Description

The AV:Link 3m extension cable carries stereo audio from a 3.5mm male plug to a 3.5mm female socket, extending the reach of headphones, powered speakers, aux connections and portable audio devices. The 3.2mm cable diameter houses a 10-strand copper core (10 x 0.1mm per conductor) that maintains signal integrity across the 3-metre run.

Designed for home audio, computer setups and portable device use, the cable allows headphones or speakers to be positioned further from a phone, laptop, PC or audio interface without needing to move the source device. The female socket accepts any standard 3.5mm TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) stereo plug, making it compatible with most consumer headphones and aux cables.

The cable weighs 95g and remains flexible enough to route behind desks, under furniture or across a room without kinking. The black PVC jacket resists everyday wear from routing through cable tidies and occasional movement. Both the male plug and female socket use moulded strain relief to reduce cable fatigue at the termination points.

Frequently Asked

Will this work with both headphones and speakers?

Yes. The cable extends any 3.5mm stereo connection, including headphones, powered speakers, aux cables and portable audio devices. It carries stereo audio in both directions, so it works equally as a headphone extension or an aux input extension.

Does the cable support microphone signals?

No. This is a 3-pole TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) cable carrying left, right and ground. It does not support the 4-pole TRRS standard used by headsets with inline microphones. Use it for audio-only connections.

What's the signal loss over 3 metres?

The 10-strand copper core and 3.2mm cable diameter keep impedance low enough that most users will not notice signal loss over 3m. Headphones with higher impedance (above 100 ohms) may show a slight volume drop on very quiet passages, but typical consumer headphones (16-32 ohms) perform normally.
