Description

The AV:Link 3.5mm stereo jack to jack cable is a 3m audio lead with 3.5mm TRS plugs at both ends, designed for connecting portable devices to auxiliary inputs on speakers, car stereos, mixing desks and home audio systems. The 3.2mm diameter cable uses a 10-strand 0.10mm copper core with shielding to reduce interference during signal transfer.

The 3m length suits permanent and semi-permanent installations where a device needs to sit a table or shelf away from the input — for example, a laptop connected to a PA system, a smartphone on a desk connected to active speakers, or a tablet in a vehicle connected to the auxiliary input on a head unit. The cable is also used for linking the headphone output of one audio device to the line input of another in basic home recording or DJ setups.

Both plugs are moulded strain-relief connectors that resist pull and flex damage at the cable-to-plug junction. The cable jacket is flexible PVC that coils without kinking and handles repeated packing and unpacking. At 105g the cable is light enough to be carried in a laptop bag without adding noticeable weight.

Frequently Asked

What devices does this cable work with?

Any device with a 3.5mm headphone or line output can connect to any device with a 3.5mm auxiliary input. Common uses include smartphones to car stereos, laptops to active speakers, tablets to mixing desks, and MP3 players to home stereo systems.

Is the cable shielded?

Yes. The 10-strand copper core is shielded to reduce interference from nearby electrical sources. This makes the cable suitable for runs near power cables or in environments with multiple wireless signals.

Can it be used for microphone connections?

No. This is a stereo audio cable designed for line-level signals. Microphones typically require balanced connections with XLR or TRS connectors and different impedance matching.
