Description

The AV:Link twin RCA to twin 6.3mm mono jack cable connects equipment with RCA stereo outputs to inputs using 6.3mm (quarter-inch) mono jacks. Each cable carries two separate channels over a 1.2m length, allowing stereo signal routing from DJ mixers, audio interfaces, CD decks and media players to PA mixers, powered monitors and recording devices that use jack inputs.

Common applications include connecting consumer-level audio sources (CD players, laptops with RCA breakout cables) to professional PA systems, or routing stereo playback from a DJ controller to a PA mixer's line inputs. The 1.2m length suits desktop setups and close-proximity rack mounting without excess cable slack. The RCA plugs fit standard RCA sockets, and the 6.3mm mono jacks fit both balanced and unbalanced quarter-inch inputs, though the cable itself carries unbalanced signal.

The cable uses shielded construction to reduce RF interference and hum pickup in environments with mains transformers, dimmer switches and wireless equipment. Both RCA and jack plugs use moulded strain relief to prevent cable breakage at the termination points. The cable ships in a sealed retail bag for storage and resale.

Frequently Asked

Is this cable stereo or mono?

The cable carries two separate mono channels (left and right) via the two RCA plugs and two 6.3mm mono jacks, so it functions as a stereo cable when both channels are used together. Each jack carries a single channel.

Can it be used with balanced jack inputs?

The cable will physically fit balanced TRS jack inputs, but it only carries unbalanced signal. When plugged into a balanced input, the cable functions in unbalanced mode. Some mixers auto-detect this and adjust gain accordingly.

What equipment uses this cable configuration?

DJ mixers, media players and consumer audio devices typically use RCA outputs, while PA mixers, powered monitors and some recording interfaces use 6.3mm jack inputs. This cable bridges the two connector standards for stereo signal routing.
