Description

The Knightsbridge 9-gang grid faceplate is a modular faceplate measuring 149mm wide by 210mm high, designed to accept up to nine euro module inserts in a 3x3 grid layout. The faceplate is pressed from premium-grade steel with a brushed chrome finish and a square-edge profile, fitting standard UK single-gang back boxes with a depth of 35mm or greater.

Designed for media walls, AV installations, and multi-connection points in home offices, the grid faceplate allows custom configurations of TV coaxial sockets, RJ45 data ports, HDMI connections, USB charging ports, and telephone sockets. Each module inserts into the faceplate's grid apertures and clips into place behind the plate, creating a single clean panel rather than multiple individual faceplates. The built-in gasket compresses against the wall surface on installation, reducing visible gaps around the plate edge.

The brushed chrome finish shows a fine linear grain under direct light and pairs with other Knightsbridge brushed chrome switches and sockets in the same range. The square-edge design sits flush with the wall rather than projecting a raised bezel, giving a contemporary flat profile. The faceplate accepts standard euro module inserts designed for Knightsbridge grid systems. Common modules include TV coaxial, RJ45 data, HDMI, USB charging, satellite, telephone, and blank plates. Modules are sold separately and clip into the grid apertures from behind.

What back box depth is required?

A minimum 35mm back box depth is needed to accommodate the faceplate and module depth. Deeper boxes (47mm or 50mm) provide more cable management space behind the plate, particularly when multiple data or AV cables terminate at the same point.

Can it be installed horizontally or vertically?

The 3x3 grid layout is symmetrical, so the faceplate can be installed in either orientation. Module positions are chosen during installation based on cable entry points and the desired layout.
