Description

The Knightsbridge 9" BC pendant set is a pre-wired pendant holder in white thermoset resin with a fixed 319mm drop and a B22d bayonet cap fitting. The holder comes complete with ceiling rose and flex already terminated, reducing installation time on site to wiring the ceiling rose terminals and screwing the rose to the ceiling.

Designed for trade installations in rental properties, new builds and refurbishments where speed of installation matters more than decorative detailing, the pendant holder accepts standard BC (bayonet cap) bulbs up to 100W incandescent or 8W LED. The fixed drop suits rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights when suspended over a table or used as general ceiling lighting. The short skirt design on the holder gives a compact profile once the bulb is fitted.

The thermoset resin construction is Class II double-insulated, meaning no earth connection is required at the ceiling rose, simplifying wiring in older properties without earths at ceiling positions. The holder is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and carries BS EN 60589-2-1 and BS EN 60598-1 certifications. Terminal capacity is 2 x 1.5mm² at the ceiling rose, matching standard UK lighting cable.

Does the pendant come with a bulb?

No. The pendant holder accepts any standard B22d bayonet cap bulb up to 100W incandescent or 8W LED, sold separately.

Is the drop adjustable?

No. The pendant has a fixed 319mm drop from ceiling rose to the base of the holder. The drop cannot be shortened or lengthened without replacing the flex.

Does it need an earth connection?

No. The pendant holder is Class II double-insulated, so no earth connection is required at the ceiling rose. This makes it suitable for older properties without earths at ceiling positions.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the pendant is suitable for dry indoor locations only, not zones within bathrooms where moisture or water spray is present.
