Description

The Knightsbridge 7W LED striplight is a 395mm under-cabinet or shelving light with an integrated 3000K warm white LED delivering 530 lumens through an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The fitting is 22.8mm wide and projects 36mm from the mounting surface, sitting low-profile beneath kitchen wall units, inside display cabinets, or along bookshelf edges without protruding into usable space.

Designed for residential and retail cabinet lighting, the striplight ships with a 2m mains cable, an inline switch, mounting clips, and a linking coupler that allows multiple units to be connected end-to-end. Up to 12 striplights can run on a single mains connection using the supplied couplers or optional linking leads, making it practical to light a full run of kitchen cabinets or a retail display wall without wiring each unit separately. The independent switch on each fitting provides control where needed.

The white polycarbonate body houses the LED behind an opal diffuser that spreads light across a 130-degree beam angle, minimising visible LED dots and giving a continuous band of light rather than discrete spotting. The Class II double-insulated construction removes the need for an earth connection, simplifying installation in situations where no earth wire is available. The LED is rated for 54,000 hours L70B50 lifespan and draws 7W at 230V 50Hz mains voltage.

The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies, or anywhere moisture is present. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white tone similar to halogen, pairing well with wood finishes, warm-painted interiors, and hospitality spaces where a cooler daylight white would feel clinical.

Up to 12 units can run on a single mains connection using the supplied couplers or optional linking leads. Each fitting draws 7W, so a full run of 12 units totals 84W, well within the capacity of a standard UK lighting circuit.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with standard dimmer switches. The fitting includes an independent on/off switch on the cable.

Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoor canopy?

No. The IP20 rating is for dry indoor use only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor installations, or any location where moisture is present.
