Description

The Knightsbridge 26W LED bollard light is a 1000mm-tall column bollard built from die-cast aluminium and stainless steel, finished in matt black powder coat. An integrated 26W SMD LED array sits behind a central diffuser band, casting 360° of indirect warm white light around the bollard at approximately mid-height, with 650 lumens reaching ground level after the optics.

Designed for pathway lighting, garden borders, driveways, commercial car parks and building perimeters, the bollard carries an IP65 rating for protection against water jets and dust ingress, and an IK08 impact rating for resistance to vandalism and accidental strikes. The 1000mm height places the light source above typical ankle-height obstructions and allows the 360° output to spread across 3-4 metres of path width depending on spacing between bollards.

The bollard ships with an anchor bolt mounting kit for fixing to concrete, tarmac or block paving, plus a 1-metre outdoor cable and an IP68 cable gland for underground cable entry. The die-cast aluminium construction and powder coat finish resist corrosion in coastal and high-moisture environments. The 3000K warm white LED has a rated L70B50 lifespan of 45,000 hours, equivalent to approximately 15 years at 8 hours per night.

The matt black finish reduces glare and reflections under daylight and pairs with contemporary, industrial and minimalist landscape schemes. What is the IP rating and what does IK08 mean?

IP65 means the bollard is protected against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor use in all UK weather conditions. IK08 is an impact rating that confirms the bollard can withstand a 5-joule impact, equivalent to a 1.7kg mass dropped from 295mm — this protects against vandalism, accidental kicks and minor vehicle contact.

How is the bollard installed?

The bollard ships with an anchor bolt mounting kit for fixing to concrete, tarmac or block paving. The 1-metre outdoor cable and IP68 cable gland allow underground cable entry from below. Mains 230V connection is required and must be installed by a qualified electrician.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The 26W SMD LED array is integrated into the bollard and cannot be replaced as a separate component. The L70B50 rating of 45,000 hours means the LED will still produce at least 70% of its initial light output after 45,000 hours of operation, equivalent to approximately 15 years at 8 hours per night.

How far apart should bollards be spaced?

The 360° output from the 1000mm height typically spreads across 3-4 metres of path width. For continuous pathway lighting, spacing bollards 3-5 metres apart along one or both sides of the path provides overlapping light coverage without dark gaps. Spacing depends on the path width and the desired light level.
