Description

The Knightsbridge LFC24IPRGB5M is a 5-metre RGB LED strip light rated IP67 for both internal and external installation. The strip runs on 24V DC and contains 36 x 5050 SMD LEDs per metre embedded in a clear silicone encapsulation that protects the circuitry from moisture, dust and low-pressure water jets. Each metre draws 9W, giving the full 5m reel a total consumption of 45W.

RGB strips allow colour-changing effects controlled via a separate RGB controller and remote (not included). They suit architectural accent lighting, cove lighting, feature wall illumination, under-cabinet lighting in kitchens, outdoor pergola and deck lighting, and retail display applications where programmable colour sequences are required. The IP67 rating allows the strip to be installed in bathrooms (zones 2 and 3), outdoor canopies, and covered external areas exposed to rain splash.

The strip is 12.25mm wide (15.5mm with optional end caps) and 8.5mm thick including the silicone layer. It can be cut every 166mm at marked points to fit specific run lengths, and comes with 3M self-adhesive backing for direct application to clean, dry surfaces. The maximum continuous run is 10m — longer installations require power injection at the mid-point or separate runs. The strip requires a 24V constant-voltage LED driver sized to the total wattage of the run (e.g. 50W minimum for a 5m reel), plus an RGB controller to enable colour selection and dimming.

Knightsbridge offers matching accessories sold separately: IP67 end caps (LFCFIX12) to seal cut ends, fixing clips (FLEXFIXL) for mechanical mounting, corner connectors, RGB controllers, and 24V drivers. The strip is available in 1m, 3m, 5m and 30m reels across the Knightsbridge flex range.

Can the strip be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. The strip can be cut every 166mm at marked cut points along its length. Once cut, the end should be sealed with an IP67 end cap (LFCFIX12, sold separately) to maintain the waterproof rating.
