Description

This Knightsbridge 1m LED strip light runs on 24V DC and delivers 590 lumens of 6000K daylight-white light per metre through 64 surface-mounted 2835 SMD LEDs. The strip is encased in silicone and carries an IP67 rating, making it waterproof and dustproof for both internal and external installations. The strip measures 10mm wide (12mm with end caps) and 7mm in projection depth, with a 3M self-adhesive backing for fixing to clean, dry surfaces.

Designed for cove lighting, under-cabinet lighting, outdoor perimeter lighting, and architectural accents, the strip can be cut at 125mm intervals to fit exact measurements. The 4.8W per metre power draw keeps heat output low, and the strip can be run up to a maximum of 20 metres on a single constant voltage driver. The 120-degree beam angle provides wide light spread suitable for indirect uplighting, downlighting behind shelving, or linear wall washing in bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor covered areas.

The silicone encapsulation protects the LEDs from moisture ingress and allows the strip to be wiped clean without damaging the diodes. The strip is dimmable when paired with appropriate 24V dimming control gear and driver (sold separately). The 6000K colour temperature gives crisp, cool-white light comparable to north-facing daylight, often specified for task lighting, workshops, garages, and modern-toned interiors where warmer temperatures would appear too yellow.

Knightsbridge offers a range of compatible accessories sold separately: IP67 end caps (LFCFIX10) seal cut ends, fixing kits (FLEXFIX) provide additional mechanical support, and a selection of 24V constant voltage drivers, controllers, connectors and aluminium profiles allow the strip to be integrated into custom lighting installations. The strip carries a 3-year warranty and an L70B50 rating of 54,000 hours, indicating the LEDs will maintain at least 70% of initial output for approximately 6 years of continuous use.

The strip requires a 24V DC constant voltage driver. For a 1m length at 4.8W per metre, a driver rated at least 10-15W provides headroom. Knightsbridge and other manufacturers offer compatible drivers sold separately at Niori.

Can the strip be cut to fit exact lengths?

Yes. The strip can be cut at 125mm intervals along marked cut points. Each cut section must be terminated with IP67 end caps (LFCFIX10, sold separately) to maintain the waterproof rating.

Is it suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The IP67 rating means the strip is protected against temporary immersion in water up to 1 metre depth for 30 minutes, making it suitable for outdoor covered areas, garden lighting, and wet environments like bathrooms.

Can multiple strips be connected end-to-end?

Yes, but the maximum continuous run is 20 metres. Beyond that, voltage drop causes uneven brightness. For longer runs, use separate driver zones or mid-run power injection to maintain consistent output.
