Description

The Knightsbridge LFC24IPWW5M is a 5-metre 24V LED strip light with IP67 waterproof and dust-tight rating, delivering 3000K warm white light at 560 lumens per metre. The strip uses 64 x 2835 SMD LEDs per metre on a 10mm-wide silicone-encased flexible circuit board, drawing 4.8W per metre and requiring a separate 24V constant voltage LED driver to operate.

Designed for both internal and exterior installation where moisture resistance is required, the IP67 rating protects the strip against water ingress when submerged up to 1 metre depth for 30 minutes. This makes the strip suitable for bathroom cove lighting, kitchen under-cabinet runs, outdoor terrace perimeter lighting, garden feature illumination, and pool surround accent lighting. The 3000K colour temperature provides a warm neutral white comparable to halogen rather than the cooler blue-white of daylight LEDs.

The strip arrives on a 5m reel with 3M self-adhesive tape on the reverse for fixing to clean, dry surfaces. It can be cut to length at marked 125mm intervals to fit specific runs, with separate IP end caps (LFCFIX10) and fixing clips (FLEXFIX) available to secure the strip and seal cut ends for outdoor use. The maximum continuous run without voltage drop is 20 metres when powered from a single driver output. Dimming is possible when paired with a compatible 24V dimmable LED driver and controller.

The silicone encapsulation adds approximately 7mm of projection from the mounting surface and gives the strip a translucent milky finish when unlit. The 120-degree beam angle from the surface-mount LEDs provides wide light distribution suitable for indirect accent lighting rather than focused downlighting. At 133.16 lumens per watt efficacy, the strip consumes 24W total for the full 5-metre length.

Does the strip include a power supply?

No. The strip requires a separate 24V constant voltage LED driver rated for the total wattage of your installation. This 5m strip draws 24W total, so a 30W or higher 24V driver is needed. Drivers are sold separately.

Can the strip be cut to a custom length?

Yes. The strip can be cut at marked intervals every 125mm along its length. After cutting, the exposed end should be sealed with an IP end cap (LFCFIX10, sold separately) to maintain the IP67 waterproof rating for outdoor installations.

Is this strip suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. The IP67 rating means the strip is dust-tight and protected against water immersion up to 1 metre depth for 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for exterior installations including garden lighting, terrace perimeters, and outdoor feature illumination, provided cut ends are properly sealed.

How is dimming achieved?

The strip itself is dimmable when paired with a compatible 24V dimmable LED driver and dimmer controller. The driver and controller are sold separately. Standard mains dimmer switches will not work with low-voltage LED strip.
