Description
This Knightsbridge 24V LED strip light delivers 560 lumens per metre from 64 SMD 2835 LEDs in a 3000K warm white colour temperature. The 1m length is encased in a 10mm-wide silicone coating that carries an IP67 rating, protecting the electronics from dust ingress and temporary immersion in water up to 1m depth for up to 30 minutes. The strip consumes 4.8W per metre and runs on a 24V DC constant voltage driver, sold separately.
Designed for cove lighting, under-cabinet installations, outdoor architectural accent lighting and waterproof applications where traditional IP20 strip would fail, the IP67 silicone coating allows the strip to be used in bathrooms, kitchens, outdoor canopies, and any location where moisture or dust is present. The strip can be cut at 125mm intervals to fit the required length, and each cut section requires an IP end cap (LFCFIX10, sold separately) to maintain the IP67 rating. The 3M self-adhesive backing allows the strip to be fixed directly to clean, dry surfaces without additional brackets.
The 120-degree beam angle provides even wash lighting across surfaces without visible LED hotspots. The strip is dimmable when paired with a compatible 24V dimming driver and controller, allowing brightness adjustment from full 560lm output down to low ambient levels. Maximum continuous run length is 20m before voltage drop affects output and colour consistency. For runs longer than 20m, the strip requires a second driver feeding from the opposite end. The silicone coating adds approximately 2mm of thickness compared to bare PCB strips, bringing total projection to around 7mm from the mounting surface.

Frequently Asked
Can this be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP67 silicone coating protects the strip from dust and water ingress, making it suitable for outdoor installations under canopies, in covered walkways, or anywhere the strip will not be permanently submerged. The IP67 rating allows temporary immersion up to 1m depth for up to 30 minutes.
What driver does it need?
This strip requires a 24V DC constant voltage driver. For a 1m length drawing 4.8W, a driver rated at 10W or higher is recommended to allow headroom. Knightsbridge produces a range of compatible drivers, sold separately. If dimming is required, choose a dimmable 24V driver and pair it with a compatible controller.
Can I cut it to a shorter length?
Yes. The strip can be cut at 125mm intervals where marked on the PCB. Each cut section requires an IP end cap (LFCFIX10, sold separately) to seal the cut end and maintain the IP67 rating. Cutting at any point other than the marked intervals will damage the LEDs.
How is it installed?
The strip is supplied with 3M self-adhesive backing. Clean and dry the mounting surface, peel the backing tape, and press the strip firmly into place. For heavier-duty mounting or overhead installations, Knightsbridge produces a separate fixing kit (FLEXFIX, sold separately) that holds the strip in aluminium profile.
