Description
The Knightsbridge 24V CCT LED strip light is a 1m flexible lighting strip with adjustable colour temperature from 2700K warm white through to 6000K cool white, controlled via compatible CCT controller (sold separately). The strip carries 120 x 2016 SMD LEDs across the metre length, delivering 455 lumens at 11W and a CRI rating above 90 for accurate colour rendering.
The IP67 silicone coating makes the strip suitable for both interior and exterior installation where exposure to moisture or dust is expected — bathroom cove lighting, under-cabinet kitchen lighting, outdoor architectural accent lighting, or perimeter garden lighting. The strip can be cut to length in 100mm increments to fit specific runs, and each cut point has solder pads for re-connection. The 12mm width (14mm with end caps) allows installation in shallow channels and tight recesses where traditional linear fittings will not fit.
The strip runs on 24V DC constant voltage, requiring a separate driver matched to the total wattage of the run. Maximum continuous run length is 10 metres before voltage drop affects brightness — longer installations require parallel wiring from multiple driver outputs. The strip comes with 3M self-adhesive tape on the reverse for direct mounting to clean, dry surfaces, though Knightsbridge's FLEXFIX mounting clips (sold separately) provide a more secure fix for vertical or overhead runs. Dimming and CCT adjustment require compatible control gear — the strip itself has no onboard control.
The silicone coating gives the strip a semi-translucent finish that diffuses the individual LED points when viewed from the side, reducing visible hotspots compared to bare SMD strips. IP end caps (LFCFIX10, sold separately) seal the cut ends to maintain the IP67 rating after installation. The strip is rated for 36,000 hours L70B50 lifespan, meaning 70% of the original brightness after 36,000 hours of continuous use.

Frequently Asked
What driver does this strip require?
The strip runs on 24V DC constant voltage. For a 1m strip drawing 11W, a 15-20W 24V driver is appropriate with headroom. Longer runs require proportionally higher-rated drivers — a 5m run would need a 60-75W driver minimum.
How is the colour temperature adjusted?
The strip requires a CCT controller (sold separately) wired between the driver and the strip. The controller allows adjustment between 2700K warm white and 6000K cool white. Without a CCT controller, the strip will not function.
Can the strip be cut to fit a specific length?
Yes. The strip can be cut at 100mm intervals along its length. Each cut point has solder pads for reconnection. IP end caps (LFCFIX10, sold separately) are needed to seal cut ends and maintain the IP67 rating.
What does IP67 mean for installation?
IP67 means the strip is protected against dust ingress and can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1m depth. This makes it suitable for damp locations like bathrooms, outdoor perimeter lighting, and garden applications, provided the driver and connections are also appropriately rated and installed.
