Description

The Knightsbridge CU9903 is a 13A 1-gang single-pole switched socket with an integrated 5V DC 2.1A USB charging port, finished in white thermoset resin with an anti-microbial coating tested to ISO 22196:2011. The 7mm contoured plate provides a low-profile fit against the wall, and screw cap covers are included to conceal fixings once installed.

Designed for healthcare facilities, schools, kitchens, care homes and other hygiene-sensitive environments, the anti-microbial surface reduces bacterial growth on the plate surface. The single-pole switch isolates the live line when turned off, controlling the 13A outlet while the USB port remains powered for continuous device charging. The socket fits standard 25mm back boxes or can be surface-mounted using Knightsbridge's CU1700 pattress (35mm depth required, sold separately).

The white thermoset construction resists impact, discolouration and heat better than standard thermoplastic plates. The socket carries BS 1363-2 certification for the 13A outlet and EN 60950-1 for the USB charger, confirming compliance with UK safety standards.
