Description

The Knightsbridge 12-gang grid faceplate provides twelve apertures for euro module inserts, arranged in three rows of four, behind a brushed chrome screwless cover plate. The plate measures 208mm high by 148mm wide with a 3.5mm depth, sitting nearly flush to the wall once fitted. The screwless design uses a separate steel sub-frame that fixes to the back box, with the visible cover plate clipping onto the frame without exposed screws.

Designed for AV installations, data cabinets, meeting rooms and home office setups where multiple connections need housing in a single plate, the faceplate accepts standard euro modules for HDMI, USB, CAT6, coaxial, speaker binding posts, phone jacks and similar. Each aperture accommodates one euro module, giving flexibility to mix and match insert types to suit the exact wiring requirements. The IP20 rating makes the plate suitable for dry indoor locations but not wet rooms or outdoor use.

The brushed chrome finish is a directional satin texture that diffuses light and reduces fingerprint visibility compared to polished chrome. The premium-grade steel construction gives rigidity across the 208mm height, preventing flex when modules are inserted or cables connected. The plate accepts standard euro modules (also called grid modules or minigrid inserts). These include HDMI, USB, CAT5e/CAT6 data sockets, coaxial TV/satellite, 3.5mm audio jacks, speaker binding posts, phone jacks and blank modules. Modules are sold separately.

What back box is needed?

A 47mm deep grid back box is recommended to accommodate the euro module inserts and their cable terminations. Shallower boxes may work with certain low-profile modules but limit capacity for cable coiling.

Can the cover plate be removed after installation?

Yes. The screwless cover plate clips onto a separate steel sub-frame that fixes to the back box. The cover can be unclipped for redecoration or module changes without disturbing the wiring or sub-frame fixings.
