Description

The Knightsbridge 4-way track X-connector joins four sections of TRK series single-circuit track lighting in a cross configuration, allowing track runs to extend in four directions from a single junction point. The connector can also function as a central power feed, bringing mains supply to the track system from a ceiling rose positioned at the centre of the layout rather than at an end point.

Designed for retail, gallery, hospitality and residential track lighting installations, the X-connector suits layouts where track runs need to extend across multiple walls or ceiling zones without breaking circuit continuity. The 181mm x 181mm footprint and 18mm projection keep the junction compact, sitting close to the ceiling plane without creating a visual bulge in the track run. The white polycarbonate housing matches white TRK track sections and blends into light-coloured ceilings.

The internal copper conductors carry the 230V 50Hz mains supply across all four arms of the junction, maintaining circuit continuity and allowing track spotlights to be positioned anywhere along the connected sections. The polycarbonate body provides Class I insulation and an IP20 rating, suitable for dry indoor environments. Installation requires connection to the TRK track sections via the standard locking mechanism — no additional fixings or adapters are needed once the track sections themselves are ceiling-mounted.

Frequently Asked

What track systems is this compatible with?

This X-connector is designed for Knightsbridge TRK series single-circuit track. It will not fit other brands or multi-circuit track systems. Confirm your existing track is TRK series before ordering.

Can this be used as a power feed point?

Yes. The X-connector can act as a central power feed, allowing mains supply to be brought to the track system from a ceiling rose positioned at the centre of a cross layout rather than at an end section.

How is it installed?

The connector locks into TRK track sections using the standard track locking mechanism. No additional fixings are needed beyond those required to mount the track sections themselves to the ceiling. Mains wiring connects via the feed point on the connector body.

What's the maximum load for the junction?

The connector carries 230V 50Hz mains across all four arms. The maximum load depends on the circuit rating and the number of spotlights fitted to the connected track sections. Follow standard UK wiring regulations for lighting circuit loads.
