Description

The Knightsbridge AVHD4K2 is a 2m HDMI 2.0 cable with HDMI-A connectors at both ends, supporting 4K video at 60Hz, HDR, 3D and Audio Return Channel (ARC). The cable carries up to 18Gbps bandwidth and is HDCP 2.2 certified, making it compatible with 4K streaming devices, gaming consoles, Blu-ray players and modern televisions.

Designed for living room and home cinema installations where a 2m run connects a source device to a display without visible cable slack, the nylon-braided outer jacket resists abrasion and tangling compared to standard PVC HDMI cables. The connectors are gold-plated to reduce oxidation at the contact points and feature over-moulded strain relief boots that protect the cable termination from repeated plugging and unplugging.

The black and grey finish suits most AV equipment and disappears against dark furniture or when run along skirting. The HDMI 2.0 specification means the cable handles 4K content at 60 frames per second with full colour depth, rather than the 30fps limitation of older HDMI 1.4 cables. ARC support allows a TV to send audio back down the same cable to a soundbar or AV receiver, eliminating the need for a separate optical audio cable in many setups.

Is the nylon braiding just cosmetic?

No. The nylon braid protects the inner conductors from abrasion and makes the cable more resistant to tangling and kinking compared to standard rubber-jacketed HDMI cables. It also adds some flexibility for routing behind furniture.
