Description

The Knightsbridge 24V LED flex strip is supplied as a 20-metre continuous roll with 60 LEDs per metre, operating at 4.8W per metre and emitting warm white 3000K light. The strip runs on 24V DC, requires a separate LED driver (sold separately), and is rated IP20 for dry indoor environments. A self-adhesive 3M backing runs the length of the strip for quick mounting to clean, dry surfaces.

Designed for pelmet lighting, under-cabinet runs, cove lighting and architectural accent applications where long continuous lengths are needed without visible joins. The strip can be cut to custom lengths every 50mm at marked cutting points, allowing precise fitting to alcoves, kitchen runs and display shelving. The 24V operating voltage reduces voltage drop over long runs compared to 12V strips, making the 20m roll suitable for single-run installations without needing intermediate power injection.

The 3000K colour temperature sits between neutral white and traditional incandescent warmth, providing functional task lighting under kitchen cabinets or ambient wash light in living rooms without the cooler tone of daylight LEDs. The 60 LED/m density gives uniform light output with minimal visible spotting when mounted behind diffusers or upward into pelmet channels. Class III rating means the strip operates at extra-low voltage and does not require earthing.

The strip requires a 24V DC LED driver sized to the total wattage of the installed length. For a full 20m roll at 4.8W/m, that's 96W minimum. Always add 10-20% overhead capacity when selecting the driver.

Can the strip be dimmed?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable 24V LED driver and a compatible dimmer control. The strip itself does not include dimming electronics, so dimming capability depends entirely on the driver chosen.

Where can the strip be cut?

The strip has marked cutting points every 50mm along its length. Cutting at these points maintains electrical continuity within each section and avoids damaging the circuit. Do not cut between marked points.

Is it suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use?

No. The IP20 rating means the strip is designed for dry indoor environments only. Bathrooms require IP44 or higher, and outdoor installations need IP65 or IP67 rated strips.
