Description
The Knightsbridge 24V CCT LED flex strip is a 5-metre length of adjustable white LED tape with dual-colour chip technology that shifts colour temperature from 3000K warm white to 6000K cool white. The strip carries 60 5050 SMD LEDs per metre, delivering 860 lumens per metre at 12W per metre on 24V DC input. The IP68 silicone encapsulation makes the strip fully waterproof and submersible, allowing it to be installed outdoors, in wet rooms, or anywhere moisture ingress is a concern.
Designed for architectural accent lighting, retail display, under-cabinet and cove lighting, the strip requires a compatible CCT controller (Knightsbridge LEDFR2 or LEDFR8, sold separately) to adjust colour temperature and dim the output. Without the controller the strip will not operate. The strip can be cut every 83mm to fit precise lengths, and a 3M adhesive backing runs the full 5-metre length for quick surface mounting onto clean, dry substrates. The 150mm tail cable on one end connects to the CCT controller, which in turn connects to a 24V DC power supply.
The 12.5mm strip width and 4.5mm projection suit tight installation spaces behind coving, in aluminium extrusions, or under shelving. The silicone construction resists UV degradation and remains flexible down to -20°C, making the strip viable for exterior signage, facade lighting, and garden feature illumination in UK climates. The dual-chip design inside each 5050 LED allows the strip to produce pure warm white, pure cool white, or any mixed temperature in between when paired with the correct controller.

Frequently Asked
Does this strip include a controller and power supply?
No. The strip requires a separate CCT controller (Knightsbridge LEDFR2 or LEDFR8) to adjust colour temperature and dimming, and a 24V DC power supply rated for the total wattage of the installation. At 12W per metre, a 5-metre strip draws 60W, so a 75W or higher power supply is recommended.
Can the strip be cut to length?
Yes. The strip can be cut every 83mm at marked intervals. Once cut, the strip cannot be reconnected without soldering or using LED strip connectors rated for CCT dual-channel use.
What does IP68 mean in practice?
IP68 indicates the strip is dust-tight and can be submerged in water beyond 1 metre depth for extended periods. This makes it suitable for outdoor installation, wet rooms, and water features, provided the connections to the controller and power supply are also waterproofed.
What is CCT and how does it work?
CCT stands for correlated colour temperature. This strip contains dual-colour LEDs that can produce warm white (3000K) and cool white (6000K) independently. A CCT controller adjusts the balance between the two channels, allowing you to select any white tone in between.
