Description

The Mercury UK mains plug is a BS1363-compliant 3-pin plug with a pre-installed 5A fuse, black thermoplastic casing and shrouded pins. The plug accepts cable up to 1.5mm² and secures it with an internal cord grip that clamps onto both the outer sheath and the individual conductors.

Designed for low-current devices including table lamps, radios, laptops, phone chargers and similar appliances drawing up to 1,150W on 230V mains, the 5A fuse provides protection against overcurrent faults. The shrouded pins reduce the risk of accidental contact with live terminals during insertion or removal, and the plug's fused design meets UK wiring regulations for hard-wired or user-replaceable mains cables.
