LYYT 90 LED Heavy Duty String Lights with Controller 11m - Cool White

The LYYT 90 LED Heavy Duty String Lights consist of 90 cool white concave LEDs spaced at 100mm intervals across a 9m lit length, with a 1.5m lead and 0.5m controller link bringing the total length to approximately 11m. Each LED is housed in a concave head that directs light evenly at all viewing angles, avoiding the flat-plane hotspot common to standard LED designs. The cable is heavy-duty UV-resistant black rubber rated IP44 for outdoor use, making it suitable for year-round installation on gazebos, pergolas, building facades and tree branches.

An inline 8-mode controller sits between the mains plug and the first LED, allowing you to select from Combined, Waves, Sequential, Slow-glow, Chasing, Slow-fade, Twinkle and Steady-on sequences. The controller runs on 220-240Vac mains and consumes a maximum of 7W across the full 90-LED string. Up to 10 sets can be daisy-chained from a single plug socket using the connectors at each end of the cable, enabling runs of up to 90m lit length from one power point without intermediate extension leads.

The cool white LEDs produce approximately 6000K light, giving a crisp daylight tone rather than the warmer 2700-3000K output of traditional festoon bulbs. This makes the string suitable for commercial settings (cafes, restaurants, retail shopfronts) where bright white accent lighting is preferred, as well as residential gardens and patios. At 1.6kg for the 90-LED set, the string has enough weight to resist light wind movement once installed but remains manageable for one person to handle during fitting. A 5m extension lead (Order ref: 155.490UK) is available separately where additional lead length is needed between the mains socket and the first LED.

Can these be left outdoors year-round?

Yes. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water from any direction and the UV-resistant rubber cable resists degradation from sunlight. For best longevity, disconnect from mains power during periods of non-use and store the controller indoors if practical.

How many sets can be connected together?

Up to 10 sets of the 90-LED string can be daisy-chained from one plug socket. This creates a maximum lit length of 90m from a single power point. The total load remains within safe limits at 70W maximum (10 sets x 7W each).

What's the difference between the controller modes?

The 8 modes include static (Steady-on), slow transitions (Slow-glow, Slow-fade), movement effects (Waves, Sequential, Chasing), intermittent flashes (Twinkle) and a Combined mode that cycles through multiple patterns. The controller cycles through modes with a single button press.

Is the cool white colour temperature fixed?

Yes. The LEDs are cool white at approximately 6000K and cannot be changed. LYYT does not offer a warm white version of this specific 90-LED string — if warm white is required, consider alternative festoon or string products in stock at Niori.
