Description
The LYYT 180 LED outdoor garland string lights deliver 18m of lit length on heavy-duty UV-resistant black rubber cable, with 180 cool white LEDs spaced at 100mm intervals. Each LED sits in a concave head that projects light evenly in all directions, avoiding the hot-spot effect of flat-mounted bulbs. The overall cable span is 20m including a 1.5m mains lead and 0.5m link from the controller to the first LED.
Designed for outdoor installation across facades, garden boundaries, tree wrapping and marquee outlines, the lights carry an IP44 rating for protection against rain and dust. The integrated controller offers eight pre-programmed modes: combined, waves, sequential, slow-glow, chasing, slow-fade, twinkle and steady-on. Up to five sets can be linked from a single mains plug, extending the total lit length to 90m without additional power outlets. A 5m extension lead is available separately for bridging gaps between sections.
The heavy-duty rubber cable resists UV degradation and remains supple in cold weather, reducing the risk of cracking or stiffening when coiled for storage. At 7W maximum consumption per set, five linked runs draw 35W total, making the installation energy-efficient for permanent or seasonal display. The 2.3kg weight of a single set provides enough mass to prevent excessive sway when suspended, while remaining light enough for tree installation without damaging branches.

Frequently Asked
Can multiple sets be connected together?
Yes. Up to five sets can be linked from a single mains plug, extending the total lit length to 90m. Each set has a connector at the end that accepts the next set's input lead. A 5m extension lead is available separately for bridging gaps between sections.
What are the eight lighting modes?
The integrated controller cycles through combined, waves, sequential, slow-glow, chasing, slow-fade, twinkle and steady-on modes. The mode is selected by pressing the button on the controller unit, which sits on the mains lead 1.5m from the plug.
Is the cable suitable for permanent outdoor installation?
The cable is heavy-duty UV-resistant rubber rated IP44, so it handles rain, dust and sunlight exposure. For year-round installation the lights should be inspected periodically for cable damage and stored dry during extended non-use periods to maximise lifespan.
What is the spacing between LEDs?
The 180 LEDs are spaced at 100mm intervals along the 18m lit section, giving approximately 10 LEDs per metre. This density provides continuous coverage when wrapping columns or outlining architectural features.
