Description
The LYYT 180 LED string lights run 180 warm white LEDs across 18m of lit length on a heavy-duty black rubber cable rated IP44 for outdoor use. The LEDs sit in concave housings spaced 100mm apart on the cable, which is UV-resistant and designed to withstand year-round outdoor installation. An inline controller offers 8 pre-programmed lighting modes including chasing, slow fade, twinkling and steady-on, selected by a single button on the control box.
Designed for outdoor festive decoration, event lighting and permanent garden installation, the string lights run on 220-240V mains via a 1.5m lead and draw just 7W at full brightness. The IP44 rating provides protection against rain and splashing, making the lights suitable for wrapping tree trunks, draping along fences, outlining building eaves, or stringing across outdoor seating areas. Each set connects end-to-end with up to 5 sets running from a single plug, allowing 90m of lit length from one power source.
The black cable blends into darker surfaces and tree bark during daylight, while the warm white LEDs cast a 3000K glow at night. The rubber cable remains flexible in cold weather and resists cracking from UV exposure over multiple seasons. At 2.3kg the set has enough weight to stay in place when draped but remains light enough for one person to install alone. The 0.5m controller link between the mains lead and the first LED gives flexibility in positioning the control box.

Frequently Asked
Can these be left outdoors year-round?
Yes. The IP44 rating and UV-resistant rubber cable are designed for permanent outdoor installation. The cable resists cracking in cold weather and UV degradation in sunlight, though performance will be longest if the lights are stored indoors when not in seasonal use.
How many sets can be connected together?
Up to 5 sets can be connected end-to-end from a single mains plug, giving a maximum of 90m lit length. Each set draws 7W, so 5 sets draw 35W total, well within safe mains load limits.
What lighting modes are available?
The inline controller offers 8 pre-programmed modes including chasing, slow fade, twinkling, flashing and steady-on. Modes are selected by pressing the button on the control box until the desired pattern appears.
What colour temperature is warm white?
The warm white LEDs emit at approximately 3000K, giving a soft yellowish-white glow similar to incandescent festoon lighting rather than the cooler blue-white of daylight LEDs.
