Description
The Knightsbridge OWALL01W is a compact outdoor wall light with a single downward-firing GU10 fitting housed in a cylindrical matt white powder-coated body. The 201 stainless steel construction is rated IP54 for protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for porches, covered patios, carports and exterior walls under eaves.
The downlight configuration casts a concentrated pool of light directly beneath the fitting, ideal for illuminating doorways, steps, pathways and house numbers without spilling glare across neighbouring properties. The 60mm diameter and 96mm projection from the wall give the fitting a low profile that sits flush against rendered, brick or timber cladding. The wall plate measures 60mm square, concealing the back box and cable entry behind the mount.
The GU10 lamp base accepts standard LED, halogen or CFL bulbs up to 20W (sold separately). Most installations pair this with a warm-white 5-7W GU10 LED for energy efficiency and long bulb life. Dimming capability depends on the bulb chosen — GU10 LEDs marked as dimmable will work with compatible wall dimmers, while non-dimmable LEDs require a standard on/off switch. The matt white finish minimises glare reflection under daylight and blends cleanly with white or light-painted exterior walls.

Frequently Asked
What does IP54 mean for outdoor use?
IP54 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. It's suitable for covered outdoor areas like porches, carports and walls under eaves, but not for exposed positions subject to direct rain or submersion.
Does it come with a bulb?
No. The fitting takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 20W (sold separately). Most users install a warm-white 5-7W GU10 LED for low running costs and long bulb life.
Is it dimmable?
Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb you fit. Use a GU10 LED marked as dimmable and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable GU10 LEDs require a standard on/off switch.
Can it be mounted horizontally to light a path?
The fitting is designed for vertical wall mounting with the light firing downward. Horizontal mounting would alter the IP54 rating and void the warranty, as water could enter through the aperture.
