Description

The Hunter is a 131cm console table with a walnut-stained wooden top, corrugated antique gold front panels and a bronze metal frame. The kidney-shaped top follows the same curved outline as the two fluted drawer fronts below, which sit within an arched metal cradle that forms the legs and support structure.

Designed for hallways, behind sofas in living rooms, and against dining room walls where decorative storage meets display surface function, the Hunter's 46.5cm depth allows it to sit flush against a wall without intruding far into circulation space. The two drawers open via recessed finger grooves cut into the top edge of each corrugated panel, avoiding visible handles or hardware that would interrupt the texture.

The corrugated gold panels are formed from vertical flutes that catch light differently depending on viewing angle, creating a ripple effect across the front of the piece. The walnut stain on the solid wooden top provides contrast against the warm metallic tone of the gold, while the bronze metal frame ties the two materials together. At just under 30kg, the table has enough weight to resist accidental knocks but remains manageable for repositioning during cleaning or redecoration.

Frequently Asked

What are the drawers used for?

The two corrugated gold drawer fronts provide storage for keys, mail, scarves, gloves and other hallway essentials. Each drawer opens via a recessed finger groove along its top edge rather than external handles, maintaining the clean textured front.

What material is the top made from?

The top is solid wood with a walnut stain finish. The wood grain remains visible through the stain, giving each piece slight variation in tone and pattern depending on the section of timber used.

Is the corrugated finish prone to dust?

The vertical flutes do collect dust in the grooves between ridges. A soft microfibre cloth or a gentle vacuum attachment with soft brush head clears dust without scratching the antique gold finish. Avoid abrasive cloths or chemical polishes.

Can the table be assembled by one person?

At 29.84kg and 131cm wide, the Hunter requires two people to safely position and assemble. The frame and drawer unit are separate from the top during delivery, reducing handling weight per component during unpacking and initial placement.
