Description

The Fort Smart WiFi Security Floodlight Camera combines a 2MP 1080p HD camera with twin 25W LED floodlights delivering 2000 lumens of 5000K daylight-white illumination. The camera offers a 110° wide-angle view and records motion-activated video to local storage or cloud (no subscription required for basic functionality), while the dual LED panels provide security lighting that can be triggered by motion, scheduled, or manually activated via the Fort app.

Designed for installation above garage doors, driveways, side gates and rear garden access points, the floodlight camera mounts to standard outdoor junction boxes and requires mains power connection. The IP65 rating protects the unit against rain and dust in outdoor environments between -10°C and +40°C. The camera connects to 2.4GHz WiFi networks for live viewing and control via iOS or Android devices, with two-way audio allowing communication with visitors or delivery personnel from inside the property.

The twin LED panels are independently adjustable on their mounting arms, allowing light to be directed across a driveway, onto a doorway, or spread wide to cover a garden path. Brightness is remotely dimmable through the app, and the lights can be set to activate on motion detection, on a schedule, or manually. The 2.7mm lens provides a balance between wide coverage and facial recognition at typical installation heights of 2.5-3.5m, with night vision capability when the LEDs are off.

The matt black polycarbonate housing measures 316mm wide by 225mm high by 144mm deep when the LED arms are positioned forward, making it suitable for single-storey and two-storey residential properties. The camera module sits below the light heads, reducing glare in the recorded image and keeping the lens clear of insect attraction to the LEDs.

Does this require a subscription for recording?

No subscription is required for basic motion-activated recording to local storage. Optional cloud storage services are available through the Fort app but are not mandatory for the camera and floodlights to function.

What WiFi does it need?

The camera requires a 2.4GHz WiFi network. It will not connect to 5GHz-only networks. Most modern routers broadcast both frequencies — check your router settings or consult your ISP if unsure.

Can the floodlights be dimmed?

Yes. Brightness is remotely adjustable through the Fort app, allowing the lights to be dimmed for ambient security lighting or set to full 2000-lumen output when motion is detected.

Is it suitable for coastal or high-humidity areas?

The IP65 rating protects against rain and dust but does not guarantee long-term corrosion resistance in salt-air coastal environments. For coastal installations, regular inspection and cleaning of the housing and lens is recommended.
