Argenta 5 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Matt White

The Argenta is a 600mm diameter flush ceiling light with a dome-shaped shade in matt white acrylic and a silver-painted interior. Five E27 bulb fittings sit inside the dome, hidden from direct view by the curved outer shell, which directs light downwards through the central opening and reflects it off the silver interior surface before it exits the fixture.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights under 2.4m where a pendant light would hang too low, the Argenta's 140mm projection from the ceiling keeps the fitting close to the surface while the 600mm diameter provides enough light spread for bedrooms, hallways, living rooms and dining areas up to 20m². The five E27 sockets accept standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W each (bulbs sold separately), allowing total wattage to be adjusted depending on the room size and desired brightness.

The matt white exterior softens the visual weight of the large dome and reflects ceiling light back upwards during the day, while the silver interior acts as a secondary reflector that bounces bulb light outwards in the evening, increasing the perceived output compared to a white-only interior. The acrylic construction keeps the 4kg weight manageable for standard UK ceiling fixings, and the smooth curved profile means there are no ledges or crevices where dust accumulates.

What bulbs does it take?

The Argenta takes five E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 8-12W warm-white LED bulbs at 2700K-3000K for general room lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, if you install dimmable E27 bulbs and connect the fitting to a compatible dimmer switch. The fixture itself supports dimming, but the bulbs and dimmer must both be rated for dimming use.

What size room does it suit?

The 600mm diameter and five-bulb configuration provide enough light output for bedrooms, living rooms and dining areas up to approximately 20m². For larger spaces, consider pairing with additional wall or floor lighting.

How is the acrylic cleaned?

Wipe the matt white exterior with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks, use a barely-damp cloth with plain water. Avoid household sprays, polishes and abrasive cleaners, which can dull or scratch the acrylic surface.
