Description

The ESP Nighthawk Plus is a 50W LED security floodlight with a built-in PIR motion sensor, delivering 4000 lumens at 4000K cool white through a textured diffuser panel. The PIR sensor covers a 110° detection angle with an 8m range and activates the light for a pre-set 150 seconds when motion is detected. Auto lux control keeps the light off during daylight hours, conserving energy.

Designed for exterior security lighting on residential driveways, side passages, rear gardens, commercial loading bays and car parks, the floodlight carries an IP65 ingress protection rating for year-round outdoor use. The adjustable bracket allows the light to be angled towards the area needing coverage, whether wall-mounted at 2-3m height or fixed to a gable end. A manual override function allows the light to be switched to constant-on mode when needed.

The white powder-coated metal housing resists corrosion and UV degradation in exposed positions. The textured diffuser spreads the 4000 lumen output evenly across the coverage area, reducing harsh shadows and glare compared to clear-lens floodlights. The unit measures 216mm high x 186mm wide x 24mm deep (excluding bracket) and includes a 1m power cord for connection to a suitable external supply. Fixing accessories are supplied in the box.

What is the detection range and activation time?

The PIR sensor detects movement up to 8 metres away across a 110° field of view. When triggered, the light stays on for a pre-set 150 seconds before switching off if no further motion is detected.

Does it turn on during daylight?

No. The built-in auto lux control prevents the light from activating during daylight hours, even when the PIR detects motion. This conserves energy and extends the LED lifespan.

Can it be set to constant-on mode?

Yes. The manual override function allows the floodlight to be switched to constant-on mode when needed, bypassing the PIR sensor. This is useful for extended outdoor work or events.

What height should it be mounted at?

For optimal PIR performance, mount the floodlight 2-3m above ground level, angled downwards towards the coverage area. The adjustable bracket allows fine-tuning of the angle after installation.
