Description

The ESP 50W LED security floodlight delivers 4000 lumens of cool white 4000K light through a textured polycarbonate diffuser set in a white die-cast aluminium housing. The integrated 50W LED sits behind IP65-rated seals, protecting the electronics against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, making the fitting suitable for exposed outdoor positions including gardens, driveways, loading bays and building perimeters.

The floodlight mounts on an adjustable bracket that rotates through approximately 180 degrees, allowing the beam to be aimed at a driveway, footpath, doorway or wall-wash position once the backplate is fixed to a wall or soffit. The 1m integrated cable provides enough run to route back through an external wall to a junction box or switched fused spur indoors. The 216mm x 186mm front profile gives enough throw to light a typical single-width driveway from a height of 2-3m above ground level.

The white powder-coated finish on the die-cast housing resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments. The textured diffuser spreads the LED output into a wide flood beam rather than a narrow spot, reducing glare when the fitting is mounted at eye level and providing more even coverage across horizontal surfaces. Fixing accessories including wall plugs and stainless steel screws are supplied in the box.

What's the IP rating and what does it cover?

IP65. The first digit (6) means total dust ingress protection. The second digit (5) means protection against low-pressure water jets from any direction. This makes the floodlight suitable for fully exposed outdoor installation including rain, but not submersion.

Does it come with a motion sensor?

No. This is a permanent-on floodlight controlled by a wall switch or timer indoors. If you need motion-activated security lighting, search for PIR floodlights in the Niori floodlight range.

How is it wired?

The floodlight has a 1m cable exiting the rear of the housing. This typically routes back through the wall to a junction box or switched fused spur on the indoor side. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.

What beam angle does it provide?

The textured diffuser spreads the LED into a wide flood beam rather than a narrow spot. Exact beam angle is not specified by ESP, but typical wide-flood LEDs in this category provide 90-120 degree coverage, suitable for lighting driveways, footpaths and doorways from a wall-mounted position.
