Description
The ESP NH30WS is a 30W LED security floodlight with an integrated PIR motion sensor, housed in a white die-cast metal body rated IP65 for outdoor use. The integrated LED delivers 2400 lumens at 4000K (cool white), with a textured diffuser that spreads light across driveways, patios, side passages and building perimeters. The PIR sensor covers a 110° detection angle with an 8m range and activates the light for a pre-set 150-second period when motion is detected.
Designed for perimeter security, pathway lighting and deterrent applications, the floodlight mounts on an adjustable bracket that allows the head to be angled towards the coverage area after installation. The built-in auto lux control prevents the PIR from triggering during daylight, conserving energy and extending LED life. A manual override function allows the light to be switched on independently of the sensor when continuous illumination is needed. The 1m power cord terminates in a three-pin UK mains plug, requiring access to a nearby outdoor socket or hard-wired connection via a junction box.
The white powder-coated die-cast housing measures 143mm high by 123mm wide by 24mm deep (excluding the bracket) and weighs 635g once installed. The textured polycarbonate diffuser resists impact and UV degradation better than clear glass alternatives. The IP65 rating confirms protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, making the floodlight suitable for exposed positions including coastal and high-rainfall environments. Fixing accessories are included in the box.

Frequently Asked
What triggers the PIR sensor?
The PIR detects motion across a 110° angle within an 8m range. When triggered, the light stays on for 150 seconds then switches off automatically. The auto lux control prevents activation during daylight.
Can the light be left on continuously?
Yes. The manual override function allows the light to be switched on independently of the PIR sensor when continuous illumination is needed, such as during outdoor evening events or when working in the area.
Is it suitable for coastal locations?
The IP65 rating confirms protection against dust and water jets, making it suitable for coastal environments. The die-cast housing and powder coating provide corrosion resistance, though periodic inspection is recommended in salt-air conditions.
How is it wired?
The floodlight includes a 1m power cord. It can be plugged into a nearby outdoor socket or hard-wired via a weatherproof junction box by a qualified electrician. All outdoor electrical work must comply with Part P Building Regulations.
