Description
The ESP Nighthawk Plus is a 30W LED outdoor floodlight with an integrated LED delivering 2400 lumens at 4000K neutral white through a textured diffuser panel. The black powder-coated aluminium body carries an IP65 weatherproof rating, protecting the LED and driver from rain, dust and moisture in exterior installations. The adjustable bracket allows the light to be angled from near-vertical to horizontal once mounted.
Designed for security lighting on house walls, garage exteriors, rear garden boundaries, and commercial building perimeters, the floodlight provides directed task light across driveways, doorways, pathways and loading areas. The 143mm x 123mm front panel produces a wide flood beam rather than a narrow spot, making it suitable for lighting larger areas where presence detection or manual switching controls when the light operates. The bracket mounts to brick, render or timber surfaces with the included fixings.
The textured diffuser spreads the LED output across the panel to reduce glare and hard shadows compared to a bare LED array. The 1m power cord terminates inside the housing, requiring a waterproof junction box or connection to fixed mains cable during installation by a qualified electrician. At 373g the floodlight mounts directly to most exterior walls without additional support brackets. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white (2700-3000K) and cool white (5000K+), giving a neutral tone that works across both residential and commercial applications.

Frequently Asked
Does this include a PIR motion sensor?
No. This model has no integrated PIR sensor and operates via manual switching or an external sensor connected upstream in the circuit. ESP also produces PIR-equipped versions of the Nighthawk range if automatic detection is needed.
What does IP65 mean in practice?
IP65 means the housing is dust-tight (IP6X) and protected against water jets from any direction (IPX5). The floodlight can be mounted fully exposed to rain, but should not be submerged or installed where standing water collects around the housing.
How is it wired?
The 1m power cord terminates inside the housing. The cord must be connected to fixed mains cable inside a waterproof junction box or via a suitable exterior-grade connector. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
Can the bracket angle be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The bracket joint can be loosened to re-angle the floodlight from near-vertical (lighting a wall or doorway directly below) to horizontal (lighting across a driveway or garden), then tightened again without removing the unit from the wall.
