Description
The ESP Nighthawk Plus is a 20W LED floodlight with an integrated PIR motion sensor, delivering 1600 lumens of 4000K daylight-white light behind an IP65-rated white metal housing. The built-in PIR sensor covers a 110° detection angle with an 8m range, triggering the light for a pre-set 150-second activation period when movement is detected within the zone.
Designed for exterior security lighting on driveways, rear gardens, garages and building perimeters, the floodlight mounts on an adjustable bracket that allows the head to be angled after installation. The auto lux control prevents the PIR from triggering during daylight hours, conserving energy by only activating the light when ambient light levels fall below a threshold. A manual override function allows the light to be switched to constant-on mode when required, bypassing the PIR for continuous illumination.
The housing measures 117mm high by 101mm wide by 24mm deep excluding the bracket, with a textured polycarbonate diffuser that spreads the light evenly across the target area. The IP65 ingress protection rating confirms the unit is fully protected against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in UK weather. The floodlight includes a 1m power cord for mains connection and all necessary fixing accessories for wall or soffit mounting.

Frequently Asked
What triggers the PIR sensor?
The PIR detects movement within a 110° angle up to 8m away. When triggered, the light stays on for 150 seconds (2.5 minutes) before switching off. The auto lux control prevents activation during daylight.
Can the sensor sensitivity be adjusted?
The sensor has a fixed 8m range and 110° detection angle with a pre-set 150-second activation period. Check the product manual in the Downloads tab for details on any available adjustment settings.
Is it suitable for coastal or high-humidity environments?
The IP65 rating confirms full protection against dust and water jets, making it suitable for outdoor UK installation including exposed positions. For direct coastal salt-spray exposure, periodic cleaning of the diffuser and housing is recommended.
Can it be used without the PIR sensor active?
Yes. The manual override function allows the light to be switched to constant-on mode, bypassing the PIR and keeping the floodlight illuminated continuously until switched back to sensor mode.
