Description
The Knightsbridge FLTPB is an 18W LED twin spot floodlight with an integrated PIR sensor, housed in a die-cast aluminium body finished in black with an IP65 weatherproof rating. The fitting carries two individually adjustable 9W LED heads, each using chip-on-board (CoB) LED technology to produce 1455 lumens total output at 3500K. The PIR sensor detects movement up to 8 metres away across a 120-degree detection angle, triggering the light to illuminate for 90 seconds before switching off automatically.
Designed for mounting on exterior walls above doorways, garage entrances, side gates and rear garden access points, the twin-spot configuration allows one head to be aimed down at a path or driveway while the second illuminates a doorway or side passage. Both heads rotate and tilt independently on their bracket, giving flexibility to direct light where needed. The manual override function allows the floodlight to be switched to continuous operation when required, bypassing the PIR timer during outdoor activities or when working in the garden after dark.
The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and exposed locations, with the IP65 rating protecting the internals from rain, snow and dust ingress. The 3500K colour temperature sits between warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool white (4000K-5000K), providing neutral white light that renders colours accurately outdoors without the harshness of daylight-white LEDs. The 45-degree beam angle from each head creates defined pools of light rather than wide flood coverage, making the fitting effective for illuminating specific zones (steps, door surrounds, bin storage areas) rather than broad yard lighting.
The CoB LED modules carry a 50,000-hour L70B50 rating, meaning that after 50,000 hours of operation, 50% of the LEDs will still be producing at least 70% of their initial output. The fitting is non-dimmable and operates on standard 230V 50Hz mains supply via Class I earthed wiring. Knightsbridge provides a 3-year warranty on the FLTPB.

Frequently Asked
Can the PIR sensor be adjusted or disabled?
Yes. The floodlight includes a manual override function that allows it to run continuously, bypassing the PIR timer. The detection range and sensitivity are factory-set to 8 metres with a 120-degree detection angle.
How long does the light stay on after detecting movement?
The PIR triggers the light to illuminate for 90 seconds after movement is detected. If movement continues within the detection zone, the timer resets, keeping the light on until 90 seconds after the last detected movement.
Can the two heads be aimed in different directions?
Yes. Both LED heads rotate and tilt independently on the mounting bracket, allowing one to be aimed at a driveway or path and the other at a doorway or side passage.
Is the fitting suitable for coastal or exposed locations?
The die-cast aluminium construction and IP65 rating provide protection against rain, snow and dust ingress. In coastal areas subject to salt spray, periodic rinsing with fresh water will help prevent corrosion over time.
