Description

The Knightsbridge FLTB is an 18W LED twin spot floodlight with two independently adjustable 9W CoB LED heads mounted on a shared die-cast aluminium backplate. Each head rotates and tilts on a ball joint, allowing light to be directed across two separate zones from a single mounting point. The IP65 rating provides full protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making the fitting suitable for exterior walls, driveways, rear gardens and covered outdoor areas.

Designed for residential and light commercial security and utility lighting, the twin spot configuration covers wider areas than a single-head floodlight without needing two separate circuits. The 3500K colour temperature produces neutral white light that sits between warm residential exterior lighting and the cooler 4000K-6000K commonly used in commercial settings. The 1455lm output from the pair of heads provides functional visibility across patios, driveways, side access and rear garden areas of typical 10-15m depth.

The die-cast aluminium housing dissipates heat effectively, contributing to the 50,000-hour L70B50 rated lifespan of the integrated CoB LEDs. The clear diffuser gives a 45° beam angle from each head, creating overlapping pools of light when both heads are aimed in the same general direction or separate coverage zones when aimed independently. The fitting is non-dimmable and runs directly from 230V mains with no external driver required. The black powder-coat finish resists corrosion and UV degradation in outdoor installations.

Can the two heads be aimed independently?

Yes. Each 9W LED head rotates and tilts independently on a ball joint, allowing you to direct light across two separate zones from a single mounting point — for example, one head covering a driveway entrance and the other covering a side gate.

Is this suitable for outdoor use year-round?

Yes. The IP65 rating provides full protection against dust and water jets, making the floodlight suitable for permanent outdoor installation on exterior walls, under eaves, or in covered outdoor areas. The die-cast aluminium housing and black powder-coat finish resist corrosion and UV degradation.

What area does it light effectively?

The 1455lm combined output and 45° beam angle from each head typically cover patios, driveways and rear garden areas of 10-15m depth with functional visibility. The two heads can overlap for concentrated coverage or be aimed separately for wider dispersal.

Does it need a sensor or does it run constantly?

The FLTB has no integrated sensor and runs whenever powered. It can be wired to a separate PIR sensor, timer or photocell switch if automatic control is needed, or connected to a manual switch for on-demand use.
