Description

The Zoom is a twin rectangular recessed downlight with two fixed GU10 fittings set into a matt black cast aluminium frame. The rectangular bezel measures 170mm × 90mm with a 36mm recess depth, and each of the two light apertures houses a separate GU10 socket rated up to 50W. The IP65 rating protects against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, making the fitting suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms and covered outdoor areas.

Designed for installation into plasterboard ceilings or timber joists where a dual-source downlight is needed, the Zoom provides two independently controllable light points within a single cutout. This suits kitchen worktop task lighting, bathroom mirror zones, hallway runs and retail display lighting where higher lumen output or directional flexibility is needed compared to a single-source downlight. The fixed apertures point directly downward with no tilt adjustment, delivering a consistent wash of light beneath the fitting.

The cast aluminium construction disperses heat efficiently across the rectangular frame, allowing the fitting to run two 50W halogen GU10s without overheating (though most installations now pair it with LED GU10s at 5-7W each for lower running costs).
