Description

The Zeal is a 162mm diameter recessed LED downlight with a die-cast aluminium housing and a matt black front bezel. The integrated 28W LED delivers 3000K warm white light through a recessed reflector cone, designed for installation in plasterboard ceilings in covered outdoor areas. The IP54-rated front provides protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.

Built for outdoor porches, covered patios, walkways under eaves and entrance canopies where the ceiling is protected from direct rainfall but exposed to moisture and temperature variation. The 162mm aperture requires a ceiling void depth of at least 120mm for the housing and driver to fit behind the plasterboard. The black bezel sits flush with the ceiling once installed, creating a low-profile circular outline that recedes visually against dark soffits and painted ceilings.

The die-cast aluminium construction dissipates heat from the 28W LED effectively, allowing the downlight to operate in ambient temperatures up to 40°C without thermal cutout. The fixed reflector directs light downwards in a focused beam suitable for path lighting, doorway illumination and accent lighting on outdoor features. The 3000K colour temperature sits between neutral and warm white, rendering natural materials and plantings without the blue cast of higher-temperature LEDs.
