Description

The Yin is a 98mm diameter recessed LED downlight with a white aluminium bezel and integrated 12W LED producing 3000K warm white light. The fitting sits flush with the ceiling surface, leaving only the white trim ring and central lens visible once installed. A CRI of 90 ensures accurate colour rendering across skin tones, textiles and interior surfaces.

Designed for residential and commercial installation, the Yin works in living rooms, kitchens, hallways, offices and retail spaces where general ambient lighting or task lighting over worksurfaces is needed. The dimmable LED allows output to be adjusted from full brightness down to low evening levels using a compatible trailing-edge dimmer. The 75mm installation depth requires a ceiling void of at least 80mm to accommodate the heat sink and driver assembly behind the ceiling surface.

The white powder-coated aluminium construction provides a clean finish that pairs with white ceilings and neutral decor schemes without creating a visual contrast. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — not suitable for bathrooms, wetrooms or outdoor soffits. Spring clips retain the downlight in a 68-85mm ceiling cut-out, allowing the fitting to be removed for redecorating or lamp maintenance without disturbing the ceiling structure.
