Description
The Wisp is a 6-light chandelier built around six curved metal arms radiating from a turned central column, finished in satin black enamel. Each arm holds a tapered fabric shade over an E14 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), and the entire frame suspends from a velvet-covered chain guard. The chandelier measures 780mm across and 710mm from canopy to the lowest point of the turned finial.
Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the Wisp provides ambient light filtered through six fabric shades rather than direct downlight. The curved arms are arranged in two tiers — three upper, three lower — giving the chandelier a layered profile when viewed from below. The black fabric shades diffuse the light from each bulb, softening the output and reducing glare while the satin black metal absorbs rather than reflects light from the room.
The velvet-covered chain guard conceals the cable run and adds a textile detail consistent with the fabric shades. The 780mm diameter suits dining tables 1.6-2.0m long or sitting areas where the chandelier can hang centrally without overwhelming the space. The satin black finish works with both monochrome contemporary interiors and darker-toned traditional schemes, and the turned column detail at the centre gives the fitting a classical silhouette without traditional brass or crystal detailing.
The chandelier is dimmable when paired with compatible E14 dimmable bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor locations only. Ideal Lux manufactures the Wisp in Italy and covers it with a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Wisp take?
The chandelier takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K. The fabric shades diffuse the light, so higher lumen output bulbs can be used without creating harsh glare.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, provided you use dimmable E14 bulbs and install a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The chandelier itself has no electronics that would prevent dimming.
What dining table size does it suit?
The 780mm diameter works well above dining tables 1.6-2.0m long. For larger tables consider spacing two Wisp chandeliers or choosing a wider fixture. The chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the table surface depending on ceiling height.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means the Wisp is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, outdoor covered areas, or any space with elevated moisture levels.
