Description
The Voltis is a 57mm diameter recessed LED downlight with an integrated 13W 3000K LED and an adjustable head housed in a matt black cylindrical body. The downlight sits flush with the ceiling surface once installed, with the cylindrical housing recessed into the ceiling void and the adjustable inner ring visible at ceiling level. The head rotates within the fixed outer ring, allowing the beam to be angled towards specific areas rather than locked to a vertical downward position.
Designed for residential and commercial installation in living rooms, hallways, offices and retail spaces, the Voltis works as accent lighting for wall art, shelving or architectural features, and as general ambient lighting when multiple units are spaced across a ceiling. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light that sits comfortably in both domestic and hospitality settings. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations only — the downlight is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor canopies.
The Voltis forms part of Ideal Lux's modular recessed system, which includes round, square, and rectangular double and triple configurations in the same family, allowing multiple units to be coordinated across a single project. The matt black finish gives a minimal appearance at ceiling level, with the small 57mm aperture keeping the fitting discreet when installed. The integrated LED removes the need for separate bulb replacement and the 13W output provides approximately 1,000 lumens depending on the specific LED module fitted.

Frequently Asked
Is the Voltis dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is not compatible with standard dimmer switches. For installations requiring dimming, a dimmable version would need to be specified separately if available in the Ideal Lux range.
What cut-out size is needed for installation?
The 57mm diameter refers to the visible aperture at ceiling level. The actual ceiling cut-out and recess depth required will be larger to accommodate the housing and driver. Refer to the installation guide or contact us for exact cut-out dimensions before cutting into plasterboard or concrete ceilings.
Can it be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means the downlight is suitable for dry indoor locations only. Bathrooms, wet rooms and outdoor covered areas require higher IP ratings (typically IP44 or IP65 depending on zone).
Can the beam angle be adjusted?
Yes. The inner ring rotates within the fixed outer housing, allowing the LED beam to be angled towards walls, shelving or specific features rather than locked in a vertical downward position. This makes the Voltis suitable for accent lighting as well as general ambient use.
