Description
The Vint is a 60cm graphite bollard light built from aluminium and glass with an integrated 9W LED rated at 3000K. The cylindrical body houses a vertical cage-style light aperture at the top, which diffuses warm light through the glass panels onto pathways, driveways and garden borders. The IP65 rating means the fitting is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, making it suitable for permanent outdoor installation in UK weather.
Designed for pathway and perimeter lighting, the 60cm height positions the light source at mid-shin level, directing light downward onto the ground without spilling upward into windows or neighbouring properties. The bollard mounts directly onto a hard surface using a baseplate with two fixing points, or into soft landscaping with a ground spike (sold separately). The 9cm diameter keeps the bollard profile slender enough for narrow pathways while providing sufficient mass to remain stable in exposed positions.
The graphite powder-coated aluminium finish provides corrosion resistance and a low-reflectivity surface that absorbs daylight rather than creating glare. The glass panels in the lamp head diffuse the LED light into a soft, warm glow rather than a focused beam, reducing harsh shadows along pathways. The integrated LED draws 9W on 100-240V mains, giving approximately 700-800 lumens output depending on driver efficiency. The unit runs cool to the touch even after extended operation, and the LED lifespan is rated at 25,000+ hours under typical outdoor duty cycles.

Frequently Asked
What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?
IP65 means the bollard is fully dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. It can withstand rain, garden hose spray and surface pooling, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in the UK without additional weatherproofing.
How is it installed?
The bollard mounts via a baseplate with two fixing points. On hard surfaces (concrete, paving, tarmac) it bolts directly to the surface. On soft ground (lawn, borders, gravel) a ground spike adapter is needed (sold separately). Wiring must be run underground in armoured cable or conduit to meet Part P electrical regulations.
What spacing is recommended between bollards?
For pathway lighting, spacing bollards 3-4 metres apart provides continuous ground illumination without dark gaps. For accent lighting along driveways or borders, 5-6 metre spacing is acceptable. The 9W output suits residential pathways; commercial or high-traffic areas may need closer spacing or higher-output models.
Can the LED be replaced?
The LED is integrated and non-replaceable. The unit is rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, which equates to approximately 10-15 years of typical evening use (4-6 hours per night). Once the LED reaches end-of-life, the entire bollard would need replacement.
