Description

The Vellum is an arc floor lamp with a curved satin silver metal stem extending 975mm from a circular weighted base, suspending a white fabric shade with an adjustable tilt mechanism. The single E27 bulb fitting inside the shade accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), directing light downward through the fabric diffuser.

Designed for positioning behind sofas, armchairs or at the side of a bed where overhead ceiling lighting is impractical, the Vellum arches the light source over the seating or reading position without requiring a table surface. The 470mm projection from the base to the outer edge of the shade allows the lamp to sit against a wall while the light itself hangs approximately 600-700mm forward, clearing the back of most sofas. The shade tilts on a friction joint, allowing the light direction to be angled toward a specific surface.

The satin silver metal finish provides a neutral metallic tone that pairs with cooler greys, whites and blues as well as warmer neutrals where a subtle metallic accent is needed. The white pleated fabric shade softens the light output, preventing glare when the lamp is positioned at eye level in a seated position. The weighted circular base of approximately 350mm diameter keeps the lamp stable on carpets and rugs despite the extended reach of the arc.
