Description

The Unity straight connector joins two sections of single-phase surface-mounted track lighting rail in a continuous line, maintaining electrical continuity and mechanical alignment between the segments. The connector body is moulded from black plastic with internal copper contacts rated for 220-240V AC, and measures 71mm long by 33mm wide by 20mm high.

Designed for residential and commercial track lighting installations where runs exceed the length of a single track section, the connector allows track systems to be extended along walls, ceilings and architectural features without visible gaps or misalignment. The black finish matches Maytoni's Unity track range and sits flush with the track profile once installed, maintaining a clean visual line.

The connector clips into the end of one track section and accepts the end of the adjacent section, locking both segments together mechanically while transferring power through internal spring-loaded contacts. Installation requires no tools beyond those used to fix the track itself, and the connector supports the combined weight of fixtures mounted across both joined sections.

Is this compatible with all track lighting systems?

No. The Unity straight connector is designed specifically for Maytoni Unity single-phase surface-mounted track. It will not fit three-phase track, recessed track, or track systems from other manufacturers. Confirm your existing track is from the Maytoni Unity range before ordering.

How is the connector installed?

The connector clips into the end channel of one track section and accepts the end of the adjacent section. The internal spring-loaded contacts engage automatically when the second track is pushed into place, transferring electrical continuity without separate wiring.

Can multiple connectors be used on one track run?

Yes. You can join as many track sections as needed using multiple straight connectors, provided the total load of all fixtures mounted on the combined run does not exceed the circuit capacity and the track is adequately supported along its length.

Does the connector carry the full current rating of the track?

Yes. The internal copper contacts are rated for the same 220-240V AC load as the track itself, so the connector does not create a bottleneck in the electrical path.
