The Unity recessed track L-shaped connector joins two runs of recessed track lighting at a 90-degree angle, creating corner transitions in ceiling-mounted track systems. The connector sits flush with the ceiling surface, with a white aluminium body measuring 9.5cm square and 2cm deep that matches standard Unity track profiles.

Designed for residential kitchens, retail spaces and commercial offices where track lighting follows L-shaped room layouts or wraps around architectural features, the connector maintains electrical continuity across the corner while keeping the track run visually clean. The white finish blends into white ceilings or provides a defined grid line against darker ceiling colours.

Is this compatible with all Unity track systems?

This L-connector is designed specifically for the Maytoni Unity recessed track range. It will not fit surface-mounted track or other manufacturers' systems. Check that your existing track is Unity recessed profile before ordering.

What ceiling depth is required for recessed installation?

The connector body is 2cm deep, which sits within the ceiling void. A minimum ceiling void depth of 30-40mm is typically needed to accommodate the connector plus wiring clearance above. Suspended ceilings and plasterboard ceilings with adequate void depth are both suitable.

Does it carry the electrical current through the corner?

Yes. The connector maintains electrical continuity between the two track runs, allowing spotlights fitted anywhere along the combined L-shaped circuit to draw power from a single feed point. The aluminium construction handles the standard AC 220-240V track voltage.

Can it be painted if the ceiling colour changes?

The white aluminium finish can be painted with ceiling paint if the room is redecorated, though the visible screw heads will remain metallic unless also painted. Mask the internal track channels before painting to avoid blocking the electrical contacts.
