Description

The Twine is a table lamp with a natural wood stem set between a matt black metal base and a height-adjustable black fabric shade housing a single E27 bulb fitting. The shade sits on an adjustable arm that rotates and tilts on the wood stem, allowing the light to be directed towards a reading position or angled as ambient wash light.

Designed for bedside tables, desks and small console surfaces where directed task light is needed without taking up significant surface area, the Twine has a 200mm footprint and projects 270mm from the back edge of its circular base. The integrated in-line switch on the PVC cable allows the lamp to be turned on and off without reaching for a wall switch. The height adjustment suits reading in bed, desk work, or side-table accent lighting depending on how the shade is positioned.

The natural wood stem provides warmth against the powder-coated black metal fittings and fabric shade, making the lamp adaptable to Scandinavian, mid-century and contemporary interiors where natural materials are mixed with black metalwork. The fabric shade diffuses light from the E27 bulb (sold separately) without creating hard shadows, while the black metal base and fittings give the lamp enough visual weight to anchor it on lighter-toned surfaces without competing with the wood tone.

The Twine takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or desk reading.

How is the shade height adjusted?

The shade arm rotates and tilts on the wood stem, allowing the lamp head to be positioned higher or lower and angled towards a reading position or desk surface. The adjustment is manual and holds position through friction in the joint.

Is it dimmable?

No. The lamp has an integrated on/off switch in the cable but does not support dimming. If you need dimmed output, use a dimmable E27 LED bulb with an external plug-in dimmer on the mains cable.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the lamp is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for bathroom zones where moisture or splashing occurs.
