Description
The Knightsbridge TRLED26EM is a 6ft (1828mm) twin LED non-corrosive emergency batten rated IP65, delivering 7770 lumens of 4000K cool white light from integrated LED tubes totalling 69W. The polycarbonate body and opal diffuser provide weatherproof and impact-resistant construction suitable for industrial, commercial and outdoor environments where moisture, dust and physical contact are concerns.
Designed for warehouses, production areas, service corridors, underground car parks and external covered walkways, the batten replaces traditional twin 58W or 70W fluorescent fittings with a maintained emergency function providing up to 3 hours of backup lighting at 786 lumens during mains power failure. The emergency mode operates as maintained, non-maintained or switched depending on wiring configuration, with a Class I earth connection required. The fitting mounts to ceiling or wall using 14 lockable clips supplied with the unit.
The twin tube configuration spreads light across a 120-degree beam angle, reducing harsh shadows in linear runs above assembly lines, loading bays or inspection benches. The constant current driver maintains stable output across the 50,000-hour L70B50 rated lifespan, and the opal diffuser softens the light to reduce glare on reflective surfaces. The grey polycarbonate body measures 1828mm × 129mm × 90mm and the IP65 rating protects against high-pressure water jets and complete dust ingress, allowing installation in washdown environments.
The CRI of >80 renders colours adequately for general task work and circulation areas, while the 142.76 lm/W efficacy keeps running costs lower than equivalent halogen or discharge alternatives. The emergency battery (excluded from the 5-year warranty) requires replacement every 3-4 years depending on testing frequency and discharge cycles.

Frequently Asked
What does the emergency function do?
The built-in emergency battery provides up to 3 hours of lighting at 786 lumens during mains power failure. The unit can be wired as maintained (always on), non-maintained (emergency-only) or switched (controlled by a switch but activates on power loss). The emergency battery is excluded from the 5-year warranty and typically requires replacement every 3-4 years.
What does IP65 rating mean?
IP65 means the fitting is fully dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. This allows installation in washdown environments, covered outdoor areas, underground car parks and industrial settings where moisture and dust are present.
How does this compare to fluorescent twin battens?
This replaces twin 58W or 70W fluorescent fittings with a 69W LED unit, delivering 7770 lumens compared to approximately 5200 lumens from twin 58W fluorescents. The LED version runs cooler, removes the need for ballast replacement, and lasts 50,000 hours compared to 10,000-15,000 hours for fluorescent tubes.
What fixing accessories are included?
The batten is supplied with 14 lockable clips and fixing accessories for ceiling or wall mounting. The clips secure the polycarbonate body to the mounting surface and can be locked to prevent unauthorised removal in public or semi-public environments.
