Description

The Knightsbridge NCLB25 is a twin 5ft (1563mm) non-corrosive batten fitting designed for use with two T8 LED tubes (not included). The fitting is pre-wired for self-ballasted LED tubes and contains no ballast or driver, so the LED tubes connect directly to the mains supply. The body and diffuser are both moulded from impact-resistant polycarbonate in a light grey finish, and the fitting carries an IP65 rating for dust-tight and water-jet-resistant installation.

Designed for industrial units, commercial warehouses, agricultural buildings, car parks, covered loading bays and any environment where moisture, dust or impact risk makes standard batten fittings unsuitable. The IP65 rating allows the fitting to be installed in wet or damp locations where condensation, hose-down cleaning or external weather exposure is present. The twin-tube configuration provides higher light output than a single-tube fitting, making it suitable for larger spaces or areas requiring higher lux levels.

The polycarbonate body resists impact, corrosion and UV degradation better than steel or aluminium housings in harsh environments. The prismatic polycarbonate diffuser spreads light evenly across the fitting length while protecting the tubes from physical damage. The fitting measures 1563mm long, 129mm wide and projects 90mm from the mounting surface. Mounting clips are integrated into the body for surface installation onto walls or ceilings. The fitting is Class I and requires an earth connection.

LED tubes must be self-ballasted (driver integrated into the tube) and rated for direct mains connection. Tubes are not included with the fitting. Dimming capability depends on the specific LED tube used — the fitting itself does not restrict dimming if the tube supports it.

What LED tubes does this fitting take?

The fitting takes two 5ft (1500mm) T8 LED tubes with self-ballasted drivers. The tubes must be rated for direct mains connection at 230V. Standard fluorescent tubes and tubes requiring separate ballasts or drivers are not compatible. LED tubes are sold separately.

Can this be installed outdoors?

Yes. The IP65 rating makes the fitting suitable for covered outdoor locations such as loading bays, barn entrances, covered walkways and external storage areas. The fitting resists water jets and dust ingress but should not be submerged or installed in locations where it will collect standing water.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the LED tubes used. The fitting itself does not restrict dimming, so if you install dimmable self-ballasted LED tubes and pair them with a compatible dimmer on the circuit, the fitting will dim. Non-dimmable tubes will not dim regardless of the dimmer installed.

How is the fitting mounted?

The polycarbonate body has integrated mounting clips for surface installation onto walls or ceilings. Fixings are not included. The fitting is Class I and requires an earth connection.
